Thank you again Mr. Fort.   My husband and I love our new artwork, the Heirloom Portrait.  I was worried that it might seem a bit egotistical to have a large portrait of ourselves hanging in our own home, especially since we have a few wedding pictures scattered about the house in frames that were gifted to us for our wedding.  After you helped us to understand that you could paint us into any type of setting or scene that we wanted, it opened up a world of possibilities.  Following your considerate consultation, we looked around at lots of paintings and chose theme and colors that matched our lifestyle and taste in home decorum just as if we were choosing furniture or curtains.  The piece you composed is incredible.   The fact that you painted us into the scene using our engagement photos makes it even more special.   I love the fact that after people complement how well the painting matches the space, I then get to tell them that the couple embracing in the distance is actually Steve ( my husband ) and I.  It blows their mind.  It will forever be our favorite wedding gift and our most special piece of artwork.  

P.S.  The $400 cash back was great.  With it, we had a couple of the most incredible gourmet meal and a few of our most romantic evenings ever, while on our honeymoon.

Oh my God!  I spent so much time and money on getting myself all prettied up for my wedding day, I’m so glad that my husband insisted that we use the gifted painting to have artist Mark Fort paint me in my wedding gown….especially since the gown will likely never be seen again.  I know my daughter is less likely to wear my gown than I was to wear my mom’s so at least she will have this painting of me someday when she has her own home.  Everyone loves the painting and my husband brags constantly about what a beautiful bride I am…..even on my bad hair days  ;-)  Thank you again Mr. Fort.  No matter how I look in my  50’s, 60’s 70’s or 80’s, I will always be reminded of what a beautiful women I am.   And now I will be able to prove it to my grandkids……..someday.   LOL  

By the way; Love the Gift Registry tool.  My Maid of Honor Marcy just recently shared with me that you gave my contributing friends and family discount certificates for their own paintings that is equal to their contribution to mine.  That’s so cool that you found a way to make my gift free to them.   She is apparently having you paint a portrait of her daughter now.  The teenage girl with the basket of flowers that you might be working on right now is my God-child Ashley.

What a cool tradition!  I never owned a piece of original fine art before and now we get to be the rock stars of our first original painting.  We chose a sunset painting on the beach from the place where we went on our honeymoon and it’s so great that the artist made the colors so much more beautiful than the actual pictures we sent.  He told us to imagine all of our most favorite romantic moments and roll them up into one vision and then he created exactly what we asked for.  We love it and it’s been hanging above our fireplace since the day we received the shipment.  I find that I have a wonderful piece of mind knowing that it will hang in our grandchildren’s home some day long after we are gone.  I hate to brag but my mom’s not so excited about her favorite Thomas Kinkade print and more.  ;-)

The certificate on the back of the painting is a wonderful way to acknowledge those who contributed.
